The task for FG Branddesign was to develop a communication design that would do justice to both the breadth of the content and the different target groups of the anniversary. At the same time it had to provide a framework for a future series of events in Pforzheim, well beyond the anniversary year. The design grid of the anniversary event communication tells the basic story of the “Goldstadt” by borrowing its basic structure from the clock face of the watch, while reflecting the jewellery aspects in the various facets. The yellow “Goldstadt ray” serves as the key visual, which emerges from the initial founding event and continues into our time. A special quality of the design lies in its high flexibility, allowing for a wide range of applications without losing any of its recognizability and distinctiveness.
